It is single layer, or you can fuse your binding double, and then press your raw edges to the center to feed through the binder. Notice the first video; she had the binding on a spool anchored to the back and right of the head to feed the binder fast. I have a binding attachment for my Janome 6600 that is similar to this, but I certainly don't run my machine that fast! lol

I think you can get an attachment or special binding foot for most major sewing machine brands. Ask at your local dealer. I know Bernina has one.
