Scribble stitch for applique
 
I found this blog with information on a different way to secure applique pieces instead of using the blanket stitch. It looks like fun and I was thinking it may be faster than my machines blanket stitch.

I have a book called Herky Jerky by Kathleen Parman that uses this technique...I have tried it and like it...on some things!

I use this technique a lot -especially on leaves and animals like teddy bears. They looks so much softer than a satin stitch I think.

That sounds like a very good idea, for any kind of animal, so it gives dimension to their hair or fur. Thanks for that suggestion, quiltmom04!
