I found an easy recipe today for spray starch... I hope I posted this in the right place. Elainekay

spray starch

12 oz water
3/4 tablespoon cornstarch
3 drops lavender essential oil
Mix well in a measuring cup and pour into a spray bottle.

The corn starch will settle, so you will need to shake it before using it. It smells wonderful and it works really well. There was no flaking whatsoever. Put in a 12 oz spray bottle.

I want to try this. Where can I get the lavender essential oil?

You can usually buy essential oils at a health food store or several places online.

You can also make this without the essential oil. It will just be unscented.

Be sure and add the lavender "essential oil". Starch by itself will attract silverfish in your fabric. The lavender repels them. Even commercial starch will attract them. Spray sizing doesn't.
