Temptation... rather a lot of it...
For the first time, ever, Hoffman has published a wonderful - I don't know what you call it, maybe an e-catalog? - of their spring 2013 lines. It's really neat, it even looks like you're turning pages when you browse through it.
They're showing all the new collections, and the free quilt patterns that will be available. (I didn't check to see if they had the directions up on their site yet.) It shows you which colors of their basic blender lines go with the new fabrics, which will be REALLY USEFUL in terms of knowing what the colors will be (especially if you have any of those blenders in your stash already). It's way cool, and I thought you all might like to know about it and take a peek too. http://www.hoffmanfabrics.com/conten...?ArticleID=184 By the way, in their projects they are showing some that combine batiks and prints. I know that issue is always of interest. If money and time were not a consideration, which project would you do? (I'll go first... I like the colors of Nature's song, but the Birds and Blossoms quilt is more appealing to me.) |
very nice. thanks
Now I caan get into even BIGGER trouble!! Thanks!!
OMG I need every one of them especially Yo Gabba Gabba for my special needs kids-I was just trying to design my own from watching the show!!!! The peacock fabrics are must have too
Paradise Blooms is the "grabber" . Nice to see challenge fabrics this year. Last years ... well lets just say none made it home with me.
the blenders look yummie but nothing Egyptian!!
Watermelon shuffle...I like how fresh the batiq looks against the white fabric. I am ready to start right now!
I really loved the Belle Epoque Quilt pa tttern. I think it will look spactucular in Christmas jewel tones. [h=1][/h]
That was really well done.
Great presentation, and the page turning worked much more smoothly than Hancock's digital catalog. Thanks for posting the link. I can't say any project caught my eye, but the new 840's are divine. DIVINE! Although, I did recently pull out my Neon Ocean collection (from maybe 8 years ago) and it looks like the Avalon collection might fit right in with the other fabrics. |
Oh my! the free patterns are to die for, and the fabric lines sweet. I bookmarked this site. Thank you!!!
Have to make some of the Christmas tree potholders. Thanks for pointing us to the site
It is wonderful eye candy! It reminds me of the Hancock-Paducah catalog. I just received my very first one in print and I gotta tell ya, it is fabulous! Everyone in my family has spent more than a couple minutes looking through it and drooling over the fabrics (and none of them are quilters!)
I love the Sayomi line....just love the colors combined with gold...Hoffman has outdone themselves this time! Thanks!
That would sure melt the credit card.......
None of the project quilts caught my eye but the Istanbul line did. I'm a sucker for golds, rich browns, and jewel tones. I think I was an Indian princess in a former life!
I love the Dancing with the Stars BOM.
Very nice. The free patterns are already on the site for download, I just got one of them.
Thanks!!!!!!
All I can say is "Lord keep me from all temptation"
These remind me of the 1980s colors and some of the patterns. Are big shoulder pads coming back too? I like the batiks...seems more "active" or colorful.
Thanks for the link Nan. Great E-Catalog. I always fall in love with Hoffman Fabrics. My favorites are:
#1 Hoffman Challenge #2 Sayomi - Oasis Colorway #3 Avalon #4 Moonlit Garden - Morocco Colorway |
So pretty! I could do some serious fabric petting with those babies!!!!
Thank you for this link. So many pretty FREE patterns! The Hen Peck pattern is nice and has a great chicken silhouette that could be used on other projects. If you are looking for a beautiful table runner, check out Antoinette Falls--it just might be the project I've been saving my batiks for. I also like Tweet Tweet, appliqued trees and pieced houses---a smaller version would make a darling wall hanging.
Avalon caught my eye; I love oceany anything and this is GREAT! Currently collecting (more and more, like I need any more!) for a scrappy quilt but don't think I can wait that long for some Avalon.....sigh....
I like the Sayomi but in the Bonsai Gold color line, I also thought Dining Al Fresco was pretty cute - maybe a one block wonder?
I was drawn to Nature's Song and When Pigs Fly (LOL!). Thanks for the link.
Great site. Thanks for sharing the link.
Don't know if I dare to take a look. The temptation might be too great. On second thought, what could it hurt. i'm off to check it out. :)
Stitches in bloom and Isabella . I love the challenge fabric and all of the batiks!
Some gorgeous fabrics mmmm
Loved Istanbul, Liberty Lane (WOW), Yo Gabba Gabba and Daphne's Circus. As usual, their batiks are fabulous!
Thanks for a great link! |
Wish all the manufacturers did that.
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Thanks! From the time I first started quilting I have loved Hoffman fabrics, expecially their batiks. This catalog is wonderful. Thanks again.
