Who likes a mystery?

Well, if the answer is you, you'll find this site a treasure trove -- all quilt mysteries, all the time!

Sometimes I like them. LOL. They have a lot of patterns listed. I'll have to check them out better when I have more time. Thanks for sharing.

I would never ever do a mystery I am too picky and need to know more before hand so making a mystery quilt is out for me...too anal I guess...lol

Once in our guild they had this mystery quilt class and I wanted to do it then I saw what they did and this one lady did it in white and a light yellow...well they were airplanes and you could not see those yellow airplanes as they were so light you couldn't tell where the white stopped and the yellow began...so that thought has put me off.

I'm really anal about my quilting, too, but I have been wanting to let go of that so I find mysteries help me with that. I actually taught a mystery once & my suggestion (which, if I do say so myself, is pretty good) was that if you were stumped about fabric/color selection, to go with either Christmas colors, RWB or Amish... it's hard to go wrong with any of those selections.

I just recently did the McCalls mystery...my first one. Love the results except for one repeating square, but it isn't all that bad. Just would have used something a bit different. Am making the same one for my daughter and am having a terrble time finding that fabric for the same square. smile...

I also want to know what I am making so I can choose my fabrics wisely. I was in one and I used patriotic fabrics so it turned out okay...but still had I known...I may have put the red where I had used the white etc.
