Yes found another one and it has exactly the colours I am looking for they are called double pinks and have I had a heck of a time looking for them, but found them here.

Yes I love the colours and on the Judy Rothermel fabrics (Charleston IV)
they seem to be pretty accurate with the dyes they use.

I copied this :
1850-1865, Madder style double pinks and browns. An alum mordant would give you a red/pink print while the use of mixed of alum and iron mordant would produce warm browns. These are reproductions of madder style prints. Artificial alizarin (the dye component of madder) was not discovered until 1869.

Fantastic site, Elle! Thanks so much. I love their Fabric Play Station where you can compare fabrics you want to see how they "go" with each other. What a super idea for online ordering!

Will do Melissa, sorry did not come back so quick on this reply I was talking via Skype to my two kids, well not kids really anymore I just feel that way about them. I will go and have a look in a minute.
