I just got my new issue of Quiltmaker. They have a project for those who would like to paper piece. The link is Quiltmaker.com/projectlinus and the quilt is called Dances with waves. I would be willing to put blocks together and finish the quilts if anyone would like to contribute one or more blocks. This would be an opportunity to try paper piecing on a fairly easy block and only do one instead of having to commit to a whole quilt! PM me if you would like to help. The deadline would be somewhere around Feb. 1, 2011.

Thanks, lab fairy. Paper piecing is when you use a pattern marked on a piece of paper and sew on the lines. I am sure someone has the tutorial on this website about the basics.

I might be able to help but I don't know how to print the pattern in the right size?

Not knowing what brand of printer you have here's what to look for. There might be a "scaling" promt. Set that to none or 100% and it prints the correct size. Double check with a ruler before you start sewing. Hope that helped.
