Quilt Bee in Salina Kansas Closing

I received an email about a week ago that the Quilting Bee in Salina, Kansas was closing their doors. The email made it sound like only those people who received the email would get the store closing deal. But their web site and answering machine are advertising the sale.

Has anyone been to check out the sale? Wondering if it is worth a three hour drive tomorrow to check it out. Not that I need a thing, but always fun to look

Three hours is a long way. Have you ever been there before? If you know the stock, you might be able to figure if it is worth the trip. Gasoline is a major factor when I go someplace.

Been there many times before. It is a great shop - I'm sad to see it close.

They have a nice batik selection and I'm wondering if this couldn't be a great excuse to really jump in and start a batik stash.

My mom wants to go so I bet she will spring for the gas, it was her idea to go she wants my company me being the wonderful amazing daughter I am

If I were that close and my mother wanted me to go with her, I would stop everything and go. Don't make this a regret of time spent with your mom.

I love that shop and I'm sad to see it close! I'm in WA state now and can't make the sale. Had I known they were closing, I would have loaded up when I was there this summer!! Especially their batiks!!

I like the shop, too. I also like the restaurant just down the block. Sounds like a wonderful time out, esp. with your mother, or a friend, or just any excuse. LOL

Sure hope there are some of you who will help the shop with their retirement closing sale!
