Default Quilt It Today magazine went bankrupt

I e-mailed D. Hearn who was the editor of the magazine, Quilt It Today.
She messaged back saying the company went bankrupt in August and she lost her job. She apologized, saying that she wished could do something for her subscribers to refund their money. She added that she wasn't sure how it would be resolved.

Well I guess that answers those wondering where their subscription is. Since they have declared bankruptcy, they won't be any money for subscribers.

I recall that several years back, a miniature quilt magazine failed. Don't recall the exact name of the magazine, but another quilt magazine purchased??? the miniature subscribers list. I then started receiving the new magazine for the months remaining on the miniature subscription. I believe their intention was for us to purchase the new magazine when the subscription expired. It worked. -- Perhaps this will happen again for Quilt it Today.

This has happened too many times. From now I will just pay the extra money and buy it at the newsstand. We would have been farther ahead, then this. I just renewed my subscription.

I'm going to miss that magazine, especially since I just re -subscribed. I might as well have gone out in the yard and let my dollars float away, oh well.

I loved that magazine (and also Sew-It Today) but I wondered how long they could keep going, especially with that $3.99 an issue price tag. So, I kept picking them up at Jo-Ann's instead of subscribing. Guess that's a good thing. Sorry for all of you who have lost your money... that has happened to me with magazines more times than I can count.

Anybody know if the Sew It one also went under? I have a subscription to that one but hadn't gotten around to subscribing to the Quilting one -- just got it at the store.
