Sounds fishy but if it were real it would be a great deal.
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Sounds fishy but if it were real it would be a great deal.
My sister in law inquired about this deal. After emailing the seller, and getting an email from what appeared to be from eBay, turns out it wasn't from them. She called eBay, took a screenshot of the ad and the email she received and eBay stated they did not send it. eBay told her they don't allow people to put private emails to be contacted at. There is a total of 3 different machine ads on eBay, 2 for the HQ Avante, both have the very same item descriptions, however the seller names are different, and from different states. The other one is on a Crown Jewel. In my opinion, definitely a scam.

Since I live in the SAME town as where this seller is SUPPOSED
to live I wonder what the response from him would be if I contacted
him and asked if I could do a visual look at the setup before I decide
if I want to bid.
Hmmm just might try this tomorrow.

Quilty-Louise ~ It would be worth a try. If you do, let us know what you find out. Be careful!
I sent a message to him already.
IF (and that is a mighty BIG word for this instance) he responds to
me I would definitely take my hubs with me to view this machine.
But in all honesty I don't think he is going to reply to me, if he doesn't
that will be all the answer I need on the legit of this ebay listing.

I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. It sounds suspiciously like two that I have seen on ebay that were both scams. I was watching the first one, and it vanished. So I started doing random searches and a couple of days later found the exact same add, different person of course. I reported that one, and it went away as well. The wording is just slightly different in this one, but very much the same. The red words below is a dead give away. My advice: don't do business with this person. Either they are set up a "fake" account or they have spoofed someone else's. In this case it seems they have created their own "fake" one.
I wonder where the report button went? It used to be at the bottom of each listing.
Don't know if the seller or machine is for real, but there are a lot of things in the listing that are 100% against Ebay's policy.
Check this one out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=141161340915 Don't know if that link will work... It's just listed as Quilting Machine. buy it now $3700, $200 shipping. Arkansas
So far no reply from the seller.
Funny thing is last night there was 54 bids with the bid being
at $2375.
This morning I see there are only 9 bids, and the bid is at $610.
