    Quilting on my mind

Yesterday I was watching a show about Westminister Abbey and saw the mosaic floor in front of the high altar. My mind immediately went to "quilt pattern"!

There are many websites with images and information. Here is one

    and another

I know exactly what you mean. We spent a few weeks in Italy last year and toured the Cathedral in Sienna. I have a whole folder of photos of the FLOORS! Someday I will make a Siennise quilt, using those beautiful mosaic patterns.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down the their level and beat you with experience.

Oh goodness yes. Especially european shows. I watch various detective shows and see lovely floors in buildings, churches. and all. Quilt ideas galore.

Wow, that's awesome. If it ever was done as a quilt, what a show stopper that would be. Thanks for showing it.

I think even just one piece of it would make a stunning quilt.
