I received an email from them. The only drag was you need to go to the shops to pick up the patterns and there are none in NV.

Good news! I heard this weekend that all 50 states are participating next year. I read this actually started in 2011 with 20 shops. I think this is the first year for Kansas. The patterns are free. It's been fun so far. I have a couple more days I want to go.. Where I live doesn't have many shops so I have to drive quite a ways.

I am wondering if this has been done before. If so, what are your feelings. It sounds interesting, but not sure I will want to do much traveling this summer.

It is new. The shops have to go on the website to sign up. I am surprised that no NV have signed up yet. It starts in July. I think the deadline to sign up for this year was late April. I think 2015 will be a more productive year for this ....it gives shops more time to sign up and be prepared for the next one.

Stichinluvr, you must be in the part of Kansas that is too far for ME to drive to. I'm out by Manhattan and hit a few shops nearest to me. But the ones I'm crazy for( including the plates) are all in Western or South East Kansas!! Doesn't help that I don't have a car here since I'm visiting so I rented one for a week. That time is up now and I still didn't make it as far as I wanted to, but I got some great patterns. Plus it was nice to see and find or the fabric after 4 years in Germany!!

Many of the shops in Southern Ontario Canada are also participating in this. If you want a great holiday, come north and visit.
