Saved some $$$$$
Wanted a fiskar 8"rotating mat.......didn't really want to order on line, so did some surfing of stores.......was not on jf site so I thought. "Walmart". Yes! They had it and price was better than anywhere else....$10.40+ tax...no S&H,.store pickup--no prob...I shop there anyway.....yesterday! went to a jf ...not the one I usually go to....I can access three--each in different direction,2-20miles one way....and there it was on the shelf for $17.99! Even if I used a 40%coupon I have still saved some $$$$$...... So thought I would pass that on to anyone interested......I know I will search Walmart website more often.....

I was very surprised when I searched WalMart's web site at how many - what I consider "better" - notions and accessories were available - for better prices than some other places.
The only "down" side is that sometimes one has to wait for a few days for the product to show up.

Walmart is practically in my backyard. I go there often. JoAnn's is close by. I have the 12" rotating mat but yesterday I went to JoAnn's and replaced my Fiskars razor edge for 40% off. Left and went to the sewing center a few blocks away and got 2 "Add A Quarter" rulers 12" and 6" and 35% coupon I got to use on those. I was a happy camper. I will use my old Fiskars for cutting templates or just turn into household. Has a gouge in the middle Always checking for discounts/ good deals.

Ladies, I have a question. I have one of the name brand rotating mats I haven't really used. I had it standing on it's edge between the wall and a little cabinet. I pulled it out and it has come apart. I have the top with the hole in the middle and the bottom that it fits on. I see no way to put it back together that will work. I've had it, probably, too long to return it for replacement. Any suggestions?

Just " press" them back together...my large one did that once, I panicked because of cost of the thing....put the two pieces together, pressed on center a bit, and it works.
Now, however I store them, not on edge, but flat on a shelf..........

I heard that and asked one of the employees and they said it was just a few stores. All craft and sewing notions will still be sold. Some are calling it the ARTS AND CRAFTS DEPT. So many people in this area that sew frequent the one in my backyard. (3-4 blocks away) One problem they do have is people shoplifting fat quarters and charm packs and jelly rolls. They caught one woman allowing her child to open some of the packs and rolls. Then just stuffed into their pants. Thankfully they were arrested.
