Welcome to the Quilting Board!

I was just advised by a LQS who spoke to a company rep that they were not created for fabric. So let the buyer beware. I have decided to use a variety of other options
I use them all the time, but then I don't care if a problem will show up years later. The first quilt I used one for marking, the fabric is still fine and it's pretty old now and has been washed many times.
I love my life!
Thank you for doing the "leg work." I use the Frixion pens for measuring on the backside of fabric and have never had any problems; that said I also use a plain old pencil much of the time to mark. If I have any doubts about whether or not a mark will be left on my "work of art" I use Chaco chalk marker. Again thank you for all of your research.

Thank You for the helpful information. I have used them but after reading your article I will no longer do so.

I have never felt confident in using them. I will stick to white powder chalk.
