Well, I tried to copy a man's letter from the Bowling Green ky CL, http://bgky.craigslist.org/art/2997365828.html but the pics will not come thru. I will post his reply to me and you can email him if you are interested. gx3d8-2997365828@sale.craigslist.org or you can email me and I will forward his email to you. The pics are very nice and the machines look really clean. Sorry I am such a dunce on the computer...............Linda
We have three Singer Featherweights - (99K) one serial #656677 model 15 -and a couple of other machines. We have seen these offered online for as much as $350 or more but are pricing them to sell at just $130 each.
My wife, Mary Jo, had a sister who sold Singers and I think Mary Jo learned to sew on a Featherweight. She began collecting them several years ago, but hasn't done anything with them--and is now in early stages of dementia. So we have decided to sell them.
I've attached pictures.
This is serial # EK018697 Model 99K. It has a table/stand as shown. Made in Scotland, 3-4-1954
The one immediately below is a portable, Serial # EF129757 - 99K Made in Scotland in 1954. It has rounded case that locks in place. The lock does work and we have a replacement key.
This table model is Serial # EK164676 - Model # 99K Made in Scotland 2/9/55
The is EK164676 close up.
Below is Serial # AK656677 - Model 628 was made in Elizabeth, NJ 11/19/1951 It is a "Touch & Sew Deluxe Zig-Zag"
I can't find a picture, but we have a 1967-73 portable with case. Serial # 153193 Model 237. Made in Italy, I understand it was one of the last to use all metal. The case shows extensive use.
We didn't get the pictures. Would love to see them. It takes a long time for them to load.
