Using a high contrast color pair would give you several interesting quilt layouts, with or without signatures.

It would be a great swap! The blocks are simple enough that everyone could participate.

Yes, that would be an awesome swap! How do you set up a swap here on this board?

I have sent a pm to Patrice to get an okay for the swap, once we have the details nailed down I'll post a new thread and post the link here.

If you set up the swap, be sure to ask people to include their location. At least a state or country. It would be such fun to see how far away our blocks came from!

There's a great siggy swap already going on that's organized by Annelies van den Bergh in The Netherlands. (http://quiltsandsiggies.web-log.nl/q...ies/index.html) Her siggies are the "square in a square" block, which gives you lots of room to add your personal touch in the center. It works like this: You write to her asking to be added to the list. She sends you one of her siggies, and when you send yours back, she sends you the list -- which currently has nearly 800 names on it from everywhere around the world!

Another Dutch lady, Cuny van Collenburg, has the most amazing website (http://www.plamirel.nl/cuny/). It's not in English, unfortunately, but you can see the word "siggies" on the left, which takes you to an extensive catalog of all the siggies she's received.

I've just been doing this for a few months, but it's great fun. People include nice notes with their siggies that tell a bit about them or their siggy design, if it has some special significance.

After you've collected a bunch of these, you can design your quilt based on the colors of the corners. Annelies shows some that others have made.
