Staples has a 25 cent sale.

The only trouble with the 25cent glue is there is a limit of 2. You would have to make a few trips to get a stash. Walmart has the big 7 oz bottles for $1.47 at my store. They also have the glue pens but not in the school supplies. They have them in the craft and office supply section. I think they were $1.97.

I'm an old retired teacher and school counselor. I LOVE buying school supplies. It's just a habit. I am so glad I can fill my cart with new school goodies-especially crayons and give them away to schools. I guess it is simple things for simple minds!

I love the zippered clear pouches for binders. They hold a lot and the big ones with good zippers are .98 at Walmart. Target they are $1.98 for the same brand. The .98 ones at Target have plastic zip loc zippers. They aren't very sturdy. I haven't found any store that is cheaper for school supplies then Walmart during the back to school sale.

Poodles a Frixion Pen is like a small tipped felt marker that after used to mark your quilt with marks can be removed by ironing. They come in several colors & work really well. Just don't get the marked area into really freezing cold weather or the marks come back & you have to iron again LoL. They do work really well for marking on light or medium fabrics. They can be pricey at the LQS so it's good to know Staples sells them. I'm hoping they are cheaper there so I can buy a few to stock up.

At a home show here, Staples was giving out Frixon Pens free. I told the guy I used them for quilting and he said here take a bunch and gave me a box of 50 red and black. I shared them with my guild members!

I super-glued a cake decorating metal tip to the top of the glue bottle lid. I used a Wilton's #1 piping tip and when I use the bottle up, I just put the lid with the glued-on tip on a new bottle. Works great for me.
