My most favorite and most used ruler is the Creative Grid 2 1/2" x 6 1/2". Love that ruler and it gets used every day.

I am a gadget person myself and usually buy something that promises it will help me cut better. I am still toying with the idea of buying the Martelli Strip Ruler, looked for it at the Somerset Quilt show beginning of this month, but no one had it. I would like to try it out before I spend $80 + dollars on one ruler.

Consider yourself talked out of it. Seems like alot of $$ to part with for something that you probably already have just not painted black..
Lack of planning on your part does NOT nessessitate an emergency on my part.

I have the June Taylor cutting mat and I very seldom use it. I would not spend money on these. Would rather spend money on nice fabric. But to each his own.
