Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Those are awesome :D:D:D
I don't know. They look exactly like a pair I have that are Gingher's. Of course, Gingher could have copied them from this original... but buyer, beware!
They look just like my gold plated Gingher's. vintage? sure, they were my grandmother's.Originally Posted by Ceil
I agree with Ceil - careful there, even the gold plate vintage Gingher's like mine generally sell at auction for about $25. There are whole websites and collector's articles devoted to vintage and antique scissors. Read up so you don't get ripped off. OR go to Joans with a 50% off coupon and get a nice shiny new pair of Gingher's stork scissors with a case and everything.
Interesting story behind the scissors. Thanks for sharing
"Uber" is a a german adjective adopted by the younger generation meaning "to the extreme" or "excessive" eg., uber rich or in this case, uber cool. (Though I am quite old, I myself, keep very up to date on the language of the young though my teenaged neice who keeps me current and uber trendy). hahahaOriginally Posted by raedar63
So the seller didn't even list a price? Or did I miss it?
Here's the Gingher's - also gold plated-

And there are cheaper versions out there, some as low as $8.
Buyer beware is an understatement (although maybe not intentionally from the seller's standpoint).
There are tons of reproductions of this design out there...
