Thank you for all this great website. She has some great designs. I just have a couple of questions. Can you use these designs for just regular hand embroidery? What do all the different formats mean? Thank you to whoever can answer these for me. I don't want to order something and then I can't use it because I ordered the wrong thing. Thanks again!

Generally speaking Brewsa, you can not use machine embroidery designs for hand embroidery. They are designed to be stitched on a machine and you need a special program to even open them. You might contact the owner of the site and ask it they are available for your hand embroidering. Sometimes they are, but are not advertised.

As for your question on formats; these are for the different types of sewing machines. Not all embroidery machines "read" the same files. For instance, my Viking only reads "HUS" files and not any of the others. (However, you can purchase a converter, but that is another discussion.)

I hope this helps you. Believe me, you do not want to get involved with machine embroidery!!! It is more additive than chocolate. (I love my Viking and she loves me.)
