Thanks for posting this. It makes sense, and I am intrigued with the idea that the industry has been "bloated." Also interesting is the idea that there are "Legacy" quilters (like me) and "Modern" quilters.

Very interesting - anyone who thinks that all Legacy quilters are working from stash and not buying should go with my friends and I on shopping sprees! I keep saying "stash, stash,stash then I get in a shop and say oh look at all the new beautiful fabric

thanks for this posting. I left a comment on the site--my point being that as older quilters we owe it to the young folks to make quilting accessible to them.
