I agree with the article about the Vietnam Vets not getting any support (but were ridiculed and you never mentioned it again: this according to both my uncles who served in Nam). I hope he finds her and tells her what it meant to him to have that wonderful quilt! Bless him and Delanie M and all the others who donate their time to make these quilts for the service men and women who serve our country.

Mother was very active in the QOV and has made over 100 quilt tops. You would not believe how much of her fabric is Red, White and Blue. She will be home soon and will be able to take back up where she left off.
I have been a fund raiser for QOV for the last 3 years.
Have a Great Free Day and Thank a VET

I just posted this to my facebook to help him get the word out. I wish him luck, and want to thank him for his sacrifice.

I too make quilts or valor and donate many yards of fabric each year to other ladies that make these quilts. It is heartwarming to hear how much these quilts are appreciated. I hope he finds Delaine to thank her for the beautiful quilt. It will mean so much to him.

I looked at the QoV website and was a little intimidated by the criteria ( please understand this is not a criticism of the criteria merely my skill set isn't up to their very valid standards) but I did not realize I could still participate by donating fabric...what a great idea! My Grandparents both served in WW2 and my ex husband spent 22 years in the RAF so the privilege of doing something for these very deserving people is very important to me.
