    vintage sewing machines

I noticed on shop goodwill.com there are a number of vintage sewing machines for sale from 14.95 to 26.95. I'm not into vintage singers myself but Iknow a lot of people are and these seemed like good deals.

There are always many good machines on the Goodwill site, BUT most of the stores charge a fortune to ship one. In fact, they charge a fortune to ship anything! Where you can order a large size package from a quilt shop and shipping will be around $6, they'll charge you $15 for a small package and upward of $30-$40 to ship anything much larger. Then on top of that, they will often charge a "handling fee." I used to buy from them often, but the shipping has become ridiculous. It's been well over a year or two since I've purchased anything from the online site.

I agree about the goodwill shipping charges. They are far too much, therefore I refuse to buy or even look on their site anymore. Nobody likes paying too much for shipping.

Vintage machines are wonderful to sew with. I agree with Karen in KY, Good Will charges far too much for shipping.
