    Interesting technique, but I don't think that's the method I would teach to a first time paper-piecer.

    After they're comfortable with the basics (and get the whole wrong side/angled/trimming aspects of pp), I think this method would be another good tool to have in your PP tool box.

    I think I have around 8 different methods now. Different blocks, different methods.

    On the contrary. I was a beginner and struggled through a sample block of conventional PP cussing and sweating all the way. I found this method soooo much easier.
