Over the Rainbow fabrics have some 108" wide backing fabric available for $7.99. The selection is limited but they expect to receive more. Great price!!!

Have you ordered from them before? I'm a little gun-shy from all the problems I've been hearing about with some of the on-line fabric stores.

Yes I have twice now. In fact I just received an order from them today. I bought some music themed fabric for a memory quilt I am going to be making and I ordered one yard each of two different wide backing batiks that I plan to use as just yardage.

They are very fast. The order I received today (4/3) was ordered on 3/31. Their shipping is very reasonable too.
I understand your hesitation. I've been reading the horror stories too and will not patronize those companies that seemingly don't care about their customers.

Thanks. I may give them a try. It's nice to find some backs so reasonably priced.

WOW thanks so much for the link. Probably costs my right arm for shipping to Canada, LOL When you guys buy fabric for backings, how much do you normally get. I know it depends on the size of the quilt, but if you make crib, lap and bed quilts and don't have one in mind at this particular time, what is the rule of thumb. How much backing fabric to you buy for your stashes? Thanks, Wendy
