Omg the winner's quilt is beautiful in person. The picture does not do it justice. It's a must see. The quilter was there describing how she design and made this quilt. What looks like the border is macramae (?) you can see right though this section. It's like open lace. Just gorgeous!

I looked at the winners and they are really nice. I was in Paducah for their quilt show and met 2 fellow quilters. They both said Paducah was much nicer than Houston. Given their choice they both picked Paducah. Maybe something to think about. I wanted to go to Houston but will stay in the Midwest.
