How about yo yos as pumpkins/squash? Or you could add decorative buttons- there are a lot of seasonal ones out there.
Something to keep the turkey company . Or... how about if everyone in the family signs their name in the white area the first time you use it? Then you have a year to embroider them until next Thanksgiving.

Very nice quilt! love what you have done so far!

Used my paint Shop program to show use this idea....was easier than trying to describe it.

Applique the pumpkins and leaves, embroider vines...

The pumpkins aren't ironed down yet, but the lines will sewn on after that.
I like the leaves and acorns idea. Hadn't thought about that. Thanks.

The center and corner blocks came out much whiter in the picture. The background is off-white with a small beige print. But I see your point (s). I like the fewer number of pumpkins and the leaves.
Thank you all for your ideas. Maybe I'll make another row of feathers for the turkey (right after I get another charm pack of "gobble gobble" fabric! I used up all I had.
Any bets on whether this is done by Thanksgiving? It will be close. :)
