    I would never spend that on a FW. It took me a year of E-Bay shopping to find what I wanted. $250 including shipping and is beautiful (no manual or extra stuff). It's like it was packed away in a time capsule. I have seen the 222's go for that or more and some of the pretty colored painted ones.

    This is good advice. There are nice Featherweights on Ebay at a decent price if you are patient. and go with an experienced seller who knows how to ship one.

    Honestly I have never given anything more than $25 for a FW in my life but thats me LOL!

    I would hold out for the cheaper one and Goodwill.com is an excellent place to get one for a good price!

    That is insanely overpriced I think. A few years ago they were going higher but the prices have dropped (overall) quite a bit. Don't give up or give in to that; there is a better deal waiting just for you!
