I bid on around 100 diffrent machines on Ebay before getting mine. Decide on your top price and just go for it. Have patients.

If you think $800 for a featherweight is ridiculous, look at this 301 for $1000 - http://salem.craigslist.org/atq/2578114221.html

For that price it would have to be pure gold and still work and have everything with it! GEESH!

DO NOT give that much for a Featherweight. You can find them cheaper, you just have to hold out & one will come along. My DH bought one for me for $250 off Ebay (which I was against cuz I don't trust Ebay) & surprised me with it one Christmas. Then the next summer he found one at a yard sale for $50. It took some work but for another $25 I got it running & in good shape. Maybe put out a "WANTED" in your local paper, the ads are free & gets out to many people. But what's with people trying to get $800 for a Featherweight? It must be made out of GOLD!

Don't you think that things like this cycle around and become so expensive when everyone starts buying them up. It will go the other way soon. It's only worth what someone will pay for it.

a 222 featherweight isn't even worth $800.

there are plenty inexpensive featherweights on the market, just shop ebay if you can't find one local.
