I found the batting a bit thick, but have used flannel and pellon with success. I lvoe the pattern--not really 10 minutes in my case, but cute nonetheless and easy.

I have made many 10 minute runners but never thought of putting batting in them. I starch them after I wash them. I might try the pelon on the next one though.

I will just say that any quilting designs you do on it will show better with some batting. ask me how i know.
