    I did this for last years Christmas table runners. I only put the batting in the rectangle and left the folded over points . The quilting turned out really nice. I did a meander all over. Everyone that I gifted them to really liked them.

    I have made many of these table runners, but without the batting.....great way to use up fabric. I will trying doing these with batting in the center part.

    I have done it with batting down the center and cut to a point on the ends, then quilted. It took me about 1 1/2 hours. I made another one with batting and binding, and liked the finished product a lot better.

    I have made these with a light weight batting so I could add some quilting,and they have turned out very nice. Hope you have fun with making yours!
