Default Using embroidery thread on a Little Gracie 2 frame

Does anyone use embroidery thread on a quilting machine. I have a Janome 1600p on a little gracie 2 frame.I tried it on a sandwich, and it made a beautiful stitch, but don't know if it will start breaking threads on a large quilt.

Yep I use embroidery thread, but I dont have your set up. I've talked to many quilters who use embroidery thread. I'll use any thread that I can get to work with my machine. I've even heard of gals using serger thread! If you can get it to work the only thing you need to ask yourself is how durable do I need this quilting to be. If your going to be using the quilit on a daily basis I would choose a heavy wieght thread. If your making a show piece with tons of quilting a 100wt thread would work great.
