Use the black and white as backgrounds and machine applique your maple leaves in fall colors on it. That would be amazing to see finished.

wow love all the suggestion but I like Pink Lady I found some nice yellow and think I may try a block and see how it looks.
I am planning one of these for my daughter who is a black & white decorator... I'm going to have her pick out the center fabric (she has green accents in her bedroom and red in her living area) and then use my black & white stash for the rest. I've loved every D9P I've seen using black & white with a spot of something else.
My GD made a Square in a Square with different B/W prints and a different color of Moda Marble Swirls in the center each block. It turned out great for a first quilt - or for any quilt.
I am doing a black and white Dresden Plate on a Berry background.
The Turning Twenty books are great and you use 20 fat quarters for them. I made a black and white quilt out of half square triangles. No pattern necessary. All different prints. I hope you meant your quarters were different patterns and not solid.
I forgot to mention that I love the quilt that raggiemom showed. It's beautiful.
Love this one you made! I saw free pattern for black/white at Walmart...if I had grabbed it I would copy/email to you!
Have made three black and white quilts... with just a small amount of red here and there..... not much red... it just gives the quilts a lift...
joy...
What about adding a little red and doing a log cabin???
