My special Santa, also looks just like my wonderful husband, gave me a shelf for my stash. Five wonderful empty shelves, 6 feet high, 36 inches wide and 18 inches deep and I can finally lay out my fabrics and see what I have. He moved two pieces of exercise equipment so I have more room to move around. I am thrilled to say the least, I will be able to lay out the yardage and actually see what I have to work with. Utilitarian yes, romantic - well yes in a major way because he knows how much I wanted to organize my fabric and he gave me the tool to do it with. May your special Santas make your Christmas as happy as mine has done for me. No, he doesn't understand my passion for the fabric; but he is willing to do whatever makes me happy and if that doesn't show love I don't know what does. I love that man! We've been together for 49 years, married for 47 and he is my best friend on top of being the bestest husband ever!!

What a wonderful story. He sounds like a most wonderful husband even if he doesn't yet understand your passion for fabric!

Thats what I like. My DH does the same thing. Not very often romatic gifts. But, he gets me stuff that I can't bring myself to buy for me!!
