Default 3 fabric quilt ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas for making a quilt with 3 fabrics. For some reason, I have 2 sets of 3 fabrics but no idea what to do with them. Something with large blocks and few pieces would be great! I already have 2 quilts started w/ small pieces and I'm looking for something that will give quick gratification!

thanks

You could make:

- a chevron quilt with 3 different fabrics, either with HSTs, or strips.

- a quilt with rectangular 4 patches

- an irish chain quilt, either double or single with two differently coloured chains.

- a disappearing 9 patch quilt

- a disappearing 4 patch quilt, either with two different coloured blocks or interchanging the colours between two blocks (uhm...do you know what I mean by that?)

Hmm...I'm sure there are many more!

are they solids or pattern.. or both? I am working on a BQ2 and I am only using 3 fabrics. But I have 1 fabric that has a big print for the focus then 2 solids.

Jennie from Missouri Star Quilts just did a tutorial on a double friendship star quilt that used only 3 fabrics. It looks great and seemed relatively easy to piece. Check for it on their site or on u-tube

This was recently discussed. You should find a lot of good ideas here.

This is an easy pattern. Be sure to go to the next page to see all the different ways it can be put together.

How about Hole in the Barn Door with the third fabric being the middle square.
