I got my package of 4" squares from E-bay. They are OK. There are quite a few ones that have stripes and are not cut straight. Be that as it may, now I'd like suggestions as to what to do with them. There are 500. I thought of buying white on white material and making a 9 block. I think I should of thought this through a little bit more before purchasing. Suggestions please.
Thanks - Rita

with 500 squares you could a number of different patterns.
9p; D9p, sudoku, alternate 4 patch, or alternate 9 patch.
variation on a coin coin quilt, sew rows of the blocks and add strips of fabrics between the rows of blocks. The list goes on...
another option is if you do applique, piece blocks together as a foundation for the applique.
take some graph paper and doodle, there are dozens of options, you don't have to make them all at once either.

Here's a tutorial on making these blocks:

There is an easier method developed by Jodi Barrows where you just sew rectangles to the four sides of the inner square and then cut the rectangles to create the triangle shape, but you need her special ruler. It's a bit more wasteful of fabric, but you do get amazing accuracy with this method.
