Default 505 Basting Spray, where do you buy yours??

I have not been able to find this basting spray in my small town. I have looked at WM, Kmart and both my LQS and none of them carry it. It did find some on eBay with decent shipping. What is the average price everyone is paying. TIA

I got mine from Joann's online when they had a bib sale. Might have been Black Friday. I think I got 6 cans and with shipping it wasnt that much and coupon too!

be careful buying on ebay....this is an OHRM product and the shipping can kill you....do not fall for the sellers CHEAP shipping...if that can explodes in transit both you and the seller can be fined!

I found on at Walmart - it is Dritz Basting Spray. It was about $8 for the 10oz can. HTH

http://www.walmart.com/search/search...is&cat_id=2637

BTW I have used it for both machine and hand quilting.

I bought that, used it on a table runner. Gummed up my needles on my sewing machine. I had to wash the table runner and I'm still having problems with it. Not going to use that stuff any more.

The first spray I tried was Dritz. I didn't have any problem with it. I used a very thin layer and it worked fine. I didn't have any problem with it getting my needle sticky. The reason I used Dritz is that I found it in my cupboard--I had forgotten that I had it. The only complaint I had was that it didn't last long enough. I think it did one quilt and 1/2 of another. They weren't real big quilts--maybe lap sized. It wasn't real expensive either.

I prefer 505 to other brands of basting spray, and it's difficult to find in my area (although I can find other brands at Walmart, JoAnn's, etc.). So last time I ordered from this website:
http://www.sewforless.com/item/505_T...OUND_ONLY/7391

It's worth the shipping to get a couple of cans of this at a time.

Be aware that there are 2 different sizes of 505. The one at the link is the large size can -- will do probably 3 queen size quilts. The only difference between the yellow can and the red can is that the red can is manufactured in Europe; contents are the same.
