Question 505 spray adhesive, how long before you have to start quilting???

I have decided that I want to try to machine quilt myself, but was wondering how long will the spray adhesive will hold. I'm want to take my time since this will be a first for me. I was guessing that it would stay together until the quilt is washed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know for sure how long but the overspray on the extra backing I cut off a lap quilt in June, is still tacky. I folded it up my scrap bin because it was getting over friendly with other scraps. (sticking to them)

My guess is that it lasts at least a year or two (or more).

Well at least now I know to find a place for the "overly' friendly batting to be stored.

More than one quilt teacher has told me to do major quilting lines to secure the sandwich then go back and do the other quilting. Like stitch in the ditch around major blocks and borders.
