    60/40 wool poly batting

Can anyone tell me the quilting distance for this? I have been given some NU Wool 60/40 wool/poly but no instructions regarding safe quilting distance. I have tried googling the product but have not been able to find any answers.

Not sure but to be safe I would go with about 4" quilting distance. My wool battings often require 4" and the poly 4"-6" unless it has scrim. I'm assuming there is no scrim in this batting. If there is scrim you can increase that, 6"-8".

I've never heard of a wool/poly blend. That would just have to be best of both worlds.

I'd love to find some of that too! I've used 60/40 cotton/polyester & really liked that, but I agree with mea12- a 60/40 wool/poly would be the best of both worlds!

I haven't heard of this blend either but to be safe I would also quilt with a distance of no more than 4".

I checked out Australian 60/40 wool poly battings and see this ladies blog, it's interesting but doesn't give the density. http://lindasteelequilts.blogspot.ca...ting-test.html

This site carries it, but can't see the quilting requirement looking through it quickly. http://www.johnwattssewing.com.au/st...r-wadding.html
