    9-patch quilt pattern

Does anyone have a favorite 9-patch, double 9-patch or disappearing 9-patch pattern with sashing. I'll be using either 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 inch squares. I know how to do the 9-patch but need a pattern for amount of fabric needed. I'm not a math person so I can't sit down and figure out what I need to buy.

How big of a quilt do you want to make? How many fabrics do you want to use?

Want to make a quilt somewhere between full and queen. Not set on any number of fabrics. Depends on what the pattern calls for. Will buy the fabric when I get a pattern.

one of my Favorite is sweet menagerie nine patch. it is a free pattern at moda bakeshop. I don't know how to post a link but if you do a search you should find it. It calls for a jelly roll...which is 2 1/2" strips....but I am sure any strips at 2 1/2" would work. it has a sashing around each nine patch too.

You can eliminate a D9P because that usually requires at least the size of a charm (5" square) EB of QIAD has in the Still Stripping book, has a quilt called 9 patch party quilt. Doesn't have sashing. I made this quilt adding a different border from another of her books.

You might want to look at this patterns listed on Craftsy and see if one of them is what you want then you can go buy the pattern.

I made a Disappearing 9-patch Next Generation, starting with 3 in. squares, using black for the center square. It was amazingly beautiful.

Our local guild had a 9 patch exchange many years ago and I set mine on point alternating with a square in a square
