Are there some patterns not suitable for quilt as you go. I have finished 12 Hunter's Star blocks. I would like to actually finish a quilt. Can they be used with the quilt as you go method.

Any block can be QAYG. I have found that blocks smaller than 12&1/2 makes the quilt too stiff for my fam. They like softer ones. Hand quilting also makes them softer than machine quilting. I just finished a lap size for a girl and I used 1 &1/2 sashing on the front and back. I was practicing my FMQing. My mother said it was too stiff, but the little girl liked it. There have been some gorgeous QAYG quilts posted on this forum.
