First of all - thank you to the lady who posted the Jackson, Ms Craigslist link to the treadle machine. My daughter has been looking for one so I sent her the link. Well, to make a long story short, we drove up to Jackson this morning and picked it up. It is great! It seems to sew well, is in great condition and it came with the original manual and lots of attachments. She is going to have fun with it.

Double nice was that I got to see some friends for a few minutes. It was a whistlestop because my dd had to get back to go to work.

Thanks to all who make this board the best.

Hi, Priscella, did you go buy "my" treadle?? LOL Was it the one in Raymond that was so beautiful? I would have snapped it up in a hearbeat if I wasn't so low on funds right now. LOL I am so glad that a member of the QB was able to take advantage of it! Happy treadling!! :)

Oh, I just noticed that you live in Denham Springs...my best friend lives in Watson and I visit her often.

Yes, Carolyn - it was "yours". The man was very nice. My dd found a penny in one of the drawers and gave it to my gd. The man went inside and brought out a jar of pennies and gave it to her(gd). She gave him the prettiest smile.

Anytime you're down here, look me up. I'd love to meet you. Watson is just up the road.

Love to hear stories like this on QB. Just yesterday a FW found a new home thanks to a kind person on this board who was watching for bargains in AZ.
