I am learn to quilt and I love the one block wonder and the stack-n-whack. Would like to know which is the easiest to do? Which book would you recommend. :? :XD:

I've made both, but started with stack-n-whack. I would say they are about the same, the one block wonder may be a little easier. (For me at least!) I used "Magical Stack-n-Whack Quilts" by Bethany Reynolds, and the one block wonder book.

Stack and Whack is harder to me, not because of the sewing though. Accurate cutting took me forever.

Can someone give us an explanation of the difference in Stack-N-Whack and a One-Block-Wonder?

I think Stack and Whack is the method of cutting your fabric. One Block wonder is made using the stack and whack method. I haven't made one, but the One Block Wonder is made by making hexagons and arranging them in various ways. If you do a search there are many topics on these.

They are both the same as far as stacking your repeats and then cutting.
The difference is in how these strips are cut and pieced back together.

From what I have experienced, the OBW is probably the easiest. You are only working with half hex's and no funky seams lol. So I would recommend them for a first attempt :D:D:D
