I have a brother sewing/embroidery machine 270D. When I use the embroidery I leave the feed dogs up. I have never thought about lowering them. But now I am wondering if I should. It works fine with them up but is that really how its suppose to be done! Thanks!

Your machine will automatically drop the feed dogs when you are in embroidery mode. You don't have to do a thing.
