    Default Accuquilt Custom Dies

Accuquilt has 20% off custom dies. Has anyone used this service? If so, what kind of dies did you have made, and was it expensive?

    Thanks.

WOW, that would be nice but I am sure they must be expensive since anything custom made seems to always have a premium to the price.

    Ask Acuquilt about the cost.

The Accuquilt and Beyond Facebook group members post all the time about their custom dies. The cost depends on the size and how intricate the blade shapes. The one I really like is the binding strip die. The strips are cut with the diagonal ends. If you have a custom die made you can allow Accuquilt to make that die for others and if enough interest is shown it can become a new die for everyone to buy. One member had the Cleopatra's Fan block made for a die, one had music notes, one had magpies. I can't remember all of them.

I have had quite a few custom dies made by them for my paper business. The more intricate the pattern, the higher the price. You can get a free quote and decide for yourself if the price is right.

I have one that cuts fat quarters into various strips and squares, 1 1/2", 2" and 2 1/2".

I've had a few made for my home business. My dies are pretty intricate, and it took them 7 tries to get the measurements correct. So double check the measurements and make sure they're correct before you give the OK. We do love our Accuquilt Studio!

Someone said their Black Friday sale is the biggest of the year. I'm adding that to my Christmas list if the sale is extended to customs.
