I was forunate to be able to use our guild's AccuQuilt to cut fringed squares for a denim rag quilt. Only one layer of jeans could go thru, but put two layers of flannel... all done in 4 hours. I was sew happy to be able to spare my fingers and hands of all that cutting of fringe.

I just ordered a Accuquilt Go Baby from Nancy's Notions for $129.00. It came with a starter set of dies and one cutting mat.

I love mine, the "Go Baby" is cute but you are very limited by the die size the "Go" is a perfect size, and all the dies for the Go Baby will work on the Go. it's easy to carry, mine stays in the carrying case until I need it. that is a very good price, just wait for the dies to go on sale and find the ones you want

Thank you all for your replies. I am just a breath away from pushing the "buy" button, and thanks to you, I will be doing it with a lot less anxiety! Alice
