This is going to be a bed-runner for our queen-sized bed. The duvet cover is plain white. I think I know what I am going to do, but your expert opinions will be greatly valued!

i like it either way... very pretty. but to choose, i'd add the border

I like without the border so that the overall design shines. Maybe a border if it wasn't so overpowering and the material was easily identifiable in the center portion of your runner.

I like it without--better definition on your white duvet. But if you want some kind of outline, how about a narrow border or binding in the dark plaid used in the cornerstones? (cornersquares?)

I think the border overpowers the pretty Dresden Plates. It would be fine for the binding though.

imho, I would add a border but in the same fabric as the cornerstones. The darker color will stop the quilt and frame it. The fabric you have set out for a border is very busy and is a distraction to those very nice DPs and sashing. Keep it simple. Very nice runner you have made.
