A friend has asked me to add a fleece backing to a rag blue jean quilt because he doesn't like the feel of the denim on the back. Has anyone ever done this or have any suggestions for making this work?

put the fleece right sides together to the top of the quilt, sew 1/4 inch or better around the edge, leaving an opening.
Turn and sew the hole up.
then just tack it down in areas with DMC or yarn.
I have done this on a polyester quilt, works wonderfully.

I don't know what size yours is but I bought one of the 3.99 throws that are sold every where and just turned the edges and sewed it on the back. I also made another one and made the top the same as the throw and used the birthing method. Glenda

I plan to make a raggy edge denim & flannel quilt for my son, and will be adding a red flannel backing to it.. Wonder just how heavy this might become tho...
