Default Advice needed for fmq

I am making this quilt for the costly daughter and have decided to FMQ the design squares and SITD for the patched squares. The question is what color thread to use? I don't want it to stand out (I probably should hand quilt the peacocks at least). I am tempted to say navy blue but maybe the peacock blue would blend better. I am putting up a picture of the quilt and of a pillow sham showing the border. Thanks!

Sure would like to see the whole quilt .... looks lovely from the blocks.

What about a variegated thread?

This is Drop Dead Gorgeous! I think using the peacock blue would work, but then again I keep seeing the gold outline and think that would look fabulous also. But, no matter what you decide....this is going to be fabulous.

If you don't want the quilting to overshadow the beautiful colors and prints - try a medium dark grey and use a finer thread (60wt).

Beautiful! A variegated turquoise would look nice with that fabric.

i agree with 'doghousemom' i would use a medium gray in a 60wt- or even a 100wt silk---grays tend to blend in and disappear- would not stand out anywhere or contrast with anywhere.
it is beautiful!

Great quilt. I would also go for the med. grey. Try quilting a scrap of those dark colors with a dark thread and just see if you can see the thread on the fabric. You will be able to see the grey as yu sew and when finished it will not overpower the beauty of the quilt.
peace
