Has anyone tried the Truecut rotary blade sharpener? Am thinking of buying one but they are rather expensive and I don't want to waste money on yet another gadget. Do they actually work or am I better off just replacing blades as needed.....

I received one as a gift and it is tricky to use. You have to have the blade rolled just right. I prefer the little round ones.

Alot of us don't bother with a sharpener since we found out about Carpet Cutter Replacement Blades from Harbor Freight. You can get a package of 2 blades for $1.99 or less and they are Item #97642 So that makes the blades less then a dollar each. And they fit a 45mm rotary cutter. :)

Unfortunately I live in the UK and can't take advantage of the offers.

I bought some of those blades and mine where not any good. I ditched them. Must have been a bad batch cause you all like them.
